PAI is a buddhist, most of the time quiet village of farmers, craftspeople, and indigenous hill tribes living a simple life close to nature. Considering our impact on the spaces and lives we touch feels at the heart of our practice— we encourage listening, respecting and harmonizing with the local culture when visiting.
November, December and January is the busiest season in Pai, with many tourists visiting each year. So if you plan to visit during that time, we can recommend securing your accommodation ahead of time, and perhaps, if you prefer the quiet and wild, find a place a little outside the center.
FELT is located quietly amongst nature about eight minutes drive from Pai center. The easiest way to get around is by scooter. If you don't drive yourself there is usually plentiful care for helping each other arrive in the community.
During your time in Pai, besides dancing, you can find rest on the periphery of the village in the never-ending forests, rejuvenate with natural hot springs, visit temples, learn about traditional crafts and indigenous culture, and enjoy the generous spring of food that is at the heart of Pai.
We are wholebodiedly grateful to Pai for holding us.
